Welcome to this practicum course: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator course 1. This is an incubator/accelerator like programmed course which prepares you through the entire journey of entrepreneurship An entire Entrepreneurship Incubation/Accelerator course takes you through a robust incubation program of 12 modules. This course is therefore divided into Part 1 and Part 2 in which on completion of either part, you will receive the relevant grade and certification towards the OSSD diploma. Welcome to this practicum course: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator course 1. This is an incubator/accelerator like programmed course which prepares you through the entire journey of entrepreneurship An entire Entrepreneurship Incubation/Accelerator course takes you through a robust incubation program of 12 modules. This course is therefore divided into Part 1 and Part 2 in which on completion of either part, you will receive the relevant grade and certification towards the OSSD diploma. To gain a whole spectrum of the entrepreneurship and innovation process, you are advised to take both part 1 and part 2 courses. As opposed to the traditional classroom lessons, this course is a practicum based course full of case studies, surveys, simulations, discussions, worksheets, research, creativity, self discovery, peer to peer learning and facilitation, Do it yourself, projects etc to make this incubation as real as possible-Realia as Realia.
Part 1 of this course: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Accelerator course 1 has 6 modules: Introduction to Entrepreneurship-Theoretical perspective, Ideation, Creativity and Innovation- Reality Perspective The Market Product and Product Development Pricing Marketing and E-Marketing Once you have gained knowledge in these 6 key modules, have been examined and certified, you will be in a better position to advance into the second part of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Entrepreneurship and Innovation course 2) which will take you through the following modules: Branding, Team Development and Time Management, Business structuring, Business Finance Sources, Networking and Relationships, Business Models, Business Model Canvas, Business Plan Development and Pitching.
It is upon gaining knowledge, being examined and certified in both part 1 and 2 that you will be an adept entrepreneur ready and brave enough to pursue all the oceans of entrepreneurship. This is not just a course like the other, it is a special course designed for anyone who has a brilliant business idea that s/he is brave enough to use to change the world through provision of tangible solutions to problems affecting the world. These course 1 and course 2 are not just tools for you to cram the notes, pass and get certified but of great essence is for you to graduate into a robust and solution based entrepreneur willing and brave enough to change the world narrative. The world is suffering from unceasing huge unemployment problem and we no longer just need graduates who are seeking employment but courageous and daring graduates who are willing to dare ideas and create jobs for other people. By the end of this course, the learner should be able:
Gain knowledge of the key terms associated with Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Appreciate the theoretical perspective of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Dissect the terms Ideation, Innovation and Creativity. Identify and explore the Market for His or her Idea and all the market components and dynamics. Develop the Idea into the Most Viable Product (MVP) while emphasizing the concept of Value proposition. Understand the pertinent basics and dynamics of pricing hence use them to come up with the best price for the product developed. Familiarize with marketing and e-marketing processes and dynamics.
