About Course
This course enables students to strengthen and persist to develop an understanding of Sustainability. Students will learn about water for life, clean air to breathe, healthy organic food along with sound education. They will be given the opportunities to improve vocabulary and literacy of climate through teaching numbers, colours, shapes, letters, colouring and paining. They will associate colours with greenhouse gas, fruits with earth, play park with forestry, rivers, waterfalls, oceans with water. This course enables students to strengthen and persist to develop an understanding of Sustainability. Students will learn about water for life, clean air to breathe, healthy organic food along with sound education. They will be given the opportunities to improve vocabulary and literacy of climate through teaching numbers, colours, shapes, letters, colouring and paining. They will associate colours with greenhouse gas, fruits with earth, play park with forestry, rivers, waterfalls, oceans with water. The learning objectives for the course are to understand the critical nature of sustainability; demonstrate knowledge of the Sustainability Development Goals; apply the knowledge of sustainability to students’ daily lives; and be able to produce a PowerPoint presentation by relating the definition to their environment e.g., air, water, building, garbage, plastic pollution, water pollution, and simple energy patterns. They will also be given challenges to find the relationship between liveability and sustainability. Finally they will produce a plan of an equitable city with all necessary elements indicating with proper colours and scale.
