Dr. Tracy Hu is a junior faculty at the online education division of NSRIC. She holds a PhD in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, with a specialization in the microalgae conversion. She also received a MSc degree in Bioresource Engineering from McGill University. Following her PhD, Dr. Hu was a postdoctoral research fellow at Greenfield Global Inc and Institute for Chemicals and Fuels from Alternative Resources (ICFAR).
Dr. Tracy Hu has 7 years of experience in the thermochemical treatment of biomass and waste for the production of bio-based fuels and products, slow pyrolysis, hydrothermal liquefaction, gasification, supercritical water gasification, and bio-oil upgrading. Dr. Hu authored/co-authored 24 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 5 book chapters. She has presented her research work at both national and international conferences.
