Dr. Mohammad Mehdizadeh
Dr. Mohammad Mehdizadeh (email@example.com) is the Head of Department (HoD) in the area of Engineering Management. He is also the Senior Faculty in Engineering Management at Engineering Department of OE Division. Dr. Mohammad Mehdizadeh is a seasoned engineer and academic scholar with over 13 years of extensive professional career in both industry and academia. He holds a Ph.D. in Advanced Manufacturing Systems and master`s degree in Mechanical Engineering both from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) University, Australia. He also hold various certifications in Sustainability Management and Enterprise Process Excellence, Lean Six Sigma, Green Economy, Environmental Management Systems, etc. Dr. Mehdizadeh has extensive global experience in the Defense, Aerospace, Energy, Advanced Manufacturing sectors where he managed multimillion-dollar cutting-edge R&D projects including but not limited to the F-35A Strick Fighter program at the Australian Defense Science and Technology Organization (DSTO). He also served as the Project Quality Manager at Bombardier Australia where he managed the 1.2 billion-dollar project. He also managed numerous engineering R&D projects from various national and international companies e.g. Airbus, Boeing, SAFRAN, Dassault Aviation, United Technologies, Embraer, Comac Aerospace,
etc. from concept to flight-proven and commercialization during his career at the RAMPF Composite Solution Inc. in Canada.
Dr. Mehdizadeh has extensive teaching experience in various Canadian and Australian universities and institution in undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels. He also has many years of teaching professional and executive courses in the industry sector. He has also been very active in the research sector publishing numerous journal and conference papers, as well as granted patents in US, Canada and Europe.
Dr. Mehdizadeh is also the Director of Industrial Relations at the Ontario section of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
His research expertise are Advanced Manufacturing Systems, Engineering Management Smart Material and Intelligent Systems, Advanced Composites, etc.
