Istiak Hussain received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2018 and B.Sc degree in Petroleum and Mining Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh in 2016. Currently, he is working as a Research Chemist in Electronic Fluorocarbons. He previously worked in ExxonMobil and Dow Chemical. During 2017-2018, he worked in Photonics and Energy Research Laboratory (PERL) and has demonstrated successful work in research projects as well as the ability to collaborate with existing and emerging researchers. His research interest includes advanced functional materials for optoelectronics, energy conversion, energy storage, triboelectric and piezoelectric nanogenerators, polymer chemistry, and materials science.
