
Mr. Mamun-Or- Rashid
Mr. Mamun-Or-Rashid (mamunr@nsric.ca) is the Marketing Advisor at the CEO Office, NSRIC. He is also a Lecturer in the area of Mathematics at Science Unit of OE Division, NSRIC. He is also the Deputy Country Manager (Marketing) for Bangladesh. Mr. Rashid is presently working as Assistant Professor (Mathematics), Faculty of Business Administration, BGC Trust University Bangladesh (BGCTUB). He is also working as an Adjunct faculty member of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) in the faculty of engineering (dept. ETE and CCE). He has over 11 years teaching and research experiences in different school, College and private Universities in Bangladesh, where he taught contemporary courses related to Mathematics in different faculties of science and Engineering. Mr. Rashid completed his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.S. (Thesis) major in Mathematics from the University of Chittagong in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Recently, he completed M. Phil (Master of Philosophy) from the University of Chittagong at Jamal Nazrul Islam Research Centre for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (JNIRCMPS), in May 2018. In his MS program, as partial fulfillment, he has conducted a thesis work entitled “Fast Fourier Approximation in Numerical analysis.” During his M.S program, he has been actively engaged in research for the last two years, with a special interest in the field of Numerical analysis. In his M. Phil program, he has conducted a thesis work entitled “Optimization of Non-linear programming problem and its application in mathematical modelling.” Mr. Rashid is also the Doctoral (PhD-Fellow) candidate in the department of mathematics, University of Chittagong. and his thesis work entitle “An Approach to the Optimal control problems to Analyze the Stability of Dynamical Systems”. He has published some research papers in reputed international and national journals and routinely presented his work in national and international conferences. His research interests include Numerical Analysis, Optimization of Non Linear Programming Problems, Multi Objective programming, and Optimal Control problems.
