Professor Md. Anowar Zahid (anowarz@nsric.ca) is the Associate Vice President (AVP) at Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (LAS) Unit of Online Education (OE) Division and the Distinguished Faculty in the area of Law and Justice at under LAS Unit. Currently, he is also the Dean, Faculty of Law, and Director, Centre for Research and Development (CRD), Eastern University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to the present position, he was an Associate Professor and the Director for the Centre of International Law and Siyar (Islamic International Law)- CILAS, Faculty of Law, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia- UKM (National University of Malaysia). Earlier, he was an Associate Professor at the Department of Law, University of Dhaka. With his teaching and research interests in international business and Islamic law, Professor Zahid has published extensively in various internationally acclaimed journals. He is the Editor of the Eastern University Journal and a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of the Centre for Research in Law and Development in Asia. He is the country reporter for International Corporate and Commercial Law Review-ICCLR (UK). He served as a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Civil Society Law, Columbus School of Law, Catholic University, Washington DC, USA (2012). In the area of his expertise, Professor Zahid supervised a number successfully completed PhD and LLM theses.
