Dr. Reda Abdel Azim is the head of Department in area of Petroleum Engineering at Engineering Unit of OE Division. He is also the Senior Faculty in Petroleum Engineering at Engineering (ENG) Unit of OE Division, NSRIC. Dr. Reda Abdel Azim is an associate professor of petroleum engineering at American University of Kurdistan. He holds a PhD from the University of New South Wales, Australia 2015, MSc and BSc from the Cairo University, Egypt in 2005 and 2010 respectively, all in Petroleum Engineering. Prior joining Cairo University as an Assistant Professor in 2015, he worked with Schlumberger Company as a reservoir engineer for more than three years and with Technical Petroleum Services (TPS) Company as a Senior Consultant Petroleum Engineer and lecturer at New South Wales University. Dr. Reda led a research program in the area of simulation of multiphase fluid flow in naturally fractured reservoirs and pressure transient analysis at New South Wales University. In addition he is an expert in the application of artificial neural network in petroleum industry. Dr. Reda has been assigned as a chair of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (CPE) department the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK). At AURAK he was responsible on reservoir engineering laboratory and teaching reservoir engineering courses.
In addition, he was the chair of ABET committee during the submission of ABET reports. Dr. Reda has more than 50 research publications in different peer-reviewed journals, international conferences, and technical workshops.
