About Jennifer Bell

Dr. Jennifer Bell is a senior instructor with NIST for the elementary level and Teacher Continuing Education courses with NRISC.


Dr. Bell obtained her doctorate in Educational Administration with a minor in Law from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, USA. The focus of her dissertation was on how school districts support future education leaders through district leadership academies. Dr. Bell has over 20 years of experience in public education serving 3 year olds with special needs through grade 8 students. She has served as an elementary principal, middle school director of instruction, middle school assistant principal, middle school academic achievement specialist, and classroom teacher in grades 3 to 8. She has also worked at the University of Arizona as a Strategic Learning Specialist at the S.A.L.T. Center supporting university level students.


Dr. Bell has presented at the annual conferences of the American Education Research Association, the Association of Higher Education and Disability, and the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District Digital Learning Conference.


She currently holds a primary/junior teaching license from the Ontario College of Teachers, Texas school principal certification, Texas teaching license for kindergarten through grade 8 all subjects + English/Language Arts grades 4 - 8 + English as a Second Language (ESL) grades 1 - 8.
